Need some updating!

I definitely need to update some photos. I've decided that this might be a good way for me to keep track of my projects now that I am not using Ravelry any longer. I support President Trump and they support banning those who support our president, so I no longer use their service. I have found a new home on Our Unraveled.  Because of being displaced from and "all inclusive" knitting platform, I  have chosen to frequent Our Unraveled and Fiberocity. I will be creating links to them on my blog soon, I have forgotten how to do all of this!

I was privileged to be allowed to test knit for a new pattern by Deplorable Knitter, the Trump 2020 cowl, and other Trump related knitting patterns designer. I have a few of her patterns purchased already and I have plans to knit them, but this new pattern popped into my Instagram feed and I just had to get a taste!  I love it!  I was picked to knit the baby pattern which is great because I have tons of baby yarn and our Tuesday night Panera Bread knitting group is doing a baby shower in September for the Detroit Veterans Hospital. The Tuesday group and our Wednesday Library knitting group (some of the same ladies attend both) knit, crochet, and sew up all sorts of stuff for babies through the year and then gift everything to a representative of the DVH for veterans and their wives and their little ones.  So I just love that I was able to test knit this pattern and it's so quick and easy and it's beautiful as a baby hat!!  I finished my second one today and am going to cast on for a third one this evening after I do all my posting things. They will make perfect additions to the donations for DVH and when the pattern is released, I will be making my own hat for me in my own size.

This is the first hat I made, I did not follow the directions closely and forgot to change to size 6 needles after the ribbing, but it still turned out  cute. I thought I would have more contrast between the two yarns but not quite.
My second attempt was much better!  I followed the directions closely and chose a little more contrasting yarn.
Both turned out really cute though and I'm ready for a third!

Today has been a very quiet day. My daughter has been away all day with the Youth group from church and my husband is working , I'm getting caught up on my knitting!
